What does the ideal post baby body look like?
In the attached video we have two different perspectives. One is that you should love your body how it is post baby and the other is that you should train hard to stay in your best shape.
It is often said that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. In the case of society though beauty is often termed in the eyes of society. If we examine the weight loss, personal training and fitness industries they are billion dollar industries that prey on the fact that people want to fit into the societal norm. We have individuals using a whole range of products from legal to illegal to obtain the perceived societal ideals without considering their own health and wellness.
Yet we look at both of these women's journeys. Both at one point trained hard and ate well to achieve a post baby body which may be argued was better then their pre baby body. The only difference is that one stopped and embraced what she believed was the ideal body for her.
In an age where there are so many eating disorders and so many products and services aimed at getting one into shape does there need to be a shift in society thinking in what the ideal body shape should be?
